Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is recruiting an experienced Gas Repair Engineer to join a growing team delivering heating and maintenance services across the UK. The role involves visiting homes, diagnosing boiler faults and performing repairs with a focus on safe, first-time fixes.

The successful candidate will have CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1 and CKR1, strong fault-finding skills and a full UK driving licence. A supportive environment with training and progression opportunities is offered.

Gas Repair Engineer

£52,830 + £3000 guaranteed first-year bonus / 40 hours per week / Permanent

Ganymede is working with an established and growing provider of heating and maintenance services across the UK, recruiting for an experienced Gas Repair Engineer to join their team.

The Role

As a Gas Repair Engineer, you'll visit customers in their homes to diagnose faults with central heating systems and carry out the necessary boiler repairs.

This is a role where your technical knowledge and diagnostic skills really matter. You'll be dealing with a variety of boiler breakdowns, identifying the cause of the problem and working towards a safe and effective first-time fix wherever possible. You'll need to be confident with fault-finding and have a good understanding of basic electrical systems, including using a multi-meter to help diagnose boiler faults.

You'll be working independently for much of the day, but you won't be on your own. You'll have the support of an experienced team, along with access to dedicated training and field-based coaching to help you continue developing your skills.

About you

We're looking for an experienced Gas Engineer who enjoys fault-finding, takes pride in getting things right and is comfortable working directly with customers in their homes.

You'll need:

• CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1 & CKR1
• Strong experience diagnosing and repairing domestic boiler breakdowns
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• A good understanding of basic electrical systems
• Confidence using a multi-meter to diagnose faults
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Good customer service skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers
• A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving
• Good attention to detail
• A genuine "can do" attitude and willingness to keep learning
