Job summary

Example Recruitment is hiring a Qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to service boilers and gas appliances within social housing properties. You will perform annual gas safety checks, diagnose faults, and repair central heating systems while delivering excellent tenant service.

The role requires ACS CKR1 and HTR1, a minimum of two years’ gas experience, a valid UK driving licence, and a DBS check on offer. Overtime and weekend work may be available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with gas qualifications.
• Extensive servicing of boilers and gas appliances; strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills.
• In-date ACS qualifications CKR1 & HTR1.
• Full UK driving licence.
• DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR)
• Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems
• Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring tenants receive excellent care
• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience with gas qualifications
• Extensive experience in servicing boilers and gas appliances, as well as strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair skills
• In-date ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1
• Full UK driving licence
• No unspent criminal convictions (DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment)

Salary & Benefits

• 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
• Additional overtime and weekend work available at enhanced rates

• Salary: £40,000 £45,000 per year (DOE)
• Out-of-hours call-out rota (1 week in 4)
• OTE £50,000+ per annum
