Job summary

Example Recruitment Group is seeking experienced self-employed Gas Service & Repair Engineers to join an established contract covering the Stoke area. The role offers long-term, consistent workload with weekly payments and the flexibility to choose your working pattern.

Responsibilities include annual gas safety checks, LGSRs, and central heating repairs with 6-8 pre-booked appointments per day. Exsol software on tablet, supplied van, PPE, and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience as a domestic heating engineer.
• Current ACS qualifications CKR1 and HTR1.
• Current Gas Safe Registration.
• A calibrated flue gas analyser.
• A suitable panel van (plain or sign-written).
• £2 million Public Liability Insurance.
• No unspent criminal convictions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Annual Gas Safety Checks.
• Perform Landlord Gas Safety Records (LGSRs).
• Carry out central heating repairs.

Self-Employed Gas Service & Repair Engineer

Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established national heating contractor operating within the private sector.

We are looking for experienced self-employed Gas Service & Repair Engineers to join an established contract covering the Stoke area. This is a long-term opportunity offering a consistent workload, weekly payments and the flexibility to choose your working pattern.

The Contract

• Locations: Stoke
• Work: Annual Gas Safety Checks, Landlord Gas Safety Records (LGSRs) and central heating repairs
• Workload: 6-8 pre-booked appointments per day
• Availability: Minimum commitment of 3 days per week, with up to 5 days available
• Additional earning opportunities: Optional evening call-outs and weekend work at enhanced rates
• Contract length: Ongoing with no fixed end date
• Payment: Weekly, one week in arrears

Rates

• Annual Gas Safety Check: £23.06 per appliance
• Completed Repair: £41.00 per property (all parts and van stock supplied)
• Repair completed during Annual Service: £30.75 plus the Annual Service Visit rate
