Job summary

Sureserve is seeking a qualified Gas Heating Engineer to service and repair heating and hot water systems across Bolton and surrounding areas. You will diagnose faults, carry out planned maintenance, and ensure high workmanship standards while delivering excellent customer service during every visit.

The role requires CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 qualifications, a valid UK driving licence, and a strong track record in domestic gas maintenance.

Qualifications

• CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 essential gas qualifications.
• Valid UK driving licence (essential).
• Previous practical experience in gas maintenance within a domestic capacity.
• Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• A professional and friendly attitude with the ability to forge strong relationships with both clients and tenants.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service and maintenance works on a variety of domestic properties across the region.
• Ensuring high levels of customer care in dealing with clients and tenants to meet the required quality standards.
• Communicate updates and progress of work, completing the required paperwork electronically and manually.

Salary: £35,875 - £45,000 (with £45,000 being the average of OTE inc. callout)

Location: Bolton covering BL0, BL1, BL2, BL3, BL4, BL5, BL8, BL9, M25, M26, M45 areas

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40

Working pattern: Monday to Friday with on-call requirements

Holiday entitlement: 20 + Bank Holidays (increases with service)

About the role

Responsible for ensuring heating and hot water systems are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, helping customers stay comfortable in their homes. You'll diagnose faults, complete repairs, carry out planned maintenance, and provide a high standard of workmanship while delivering excellent customer service at every visit.
