Barchester Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Gardener to maintain the care home grounds to a high standard, ensuring a welcoming outdoor space for residents and visitors. You will manage equipment and fencing, carry out winter safety tasks, and plant a variety of flora, contributing to a vibrant, safe environment.

Qualifications

• General gardening experience
• Good health and safety understanding
• Ability to use garden treatment chemicals in line with COSHH regulations
• Trustworthy and professional with a can-do approach
• Great team player who cares about residents' wellbeing

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the care home grounds to a high standard
• Care for equipment and structures such as fencing
• Keep grounds safe and tidy, including snow/ice removal in winter
• Plant and care for flowers, shrubs and trees
• Contribute to a welcoming outdoor space for residents and visitors
• Participate in the Barchester in Bloom competition
