Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Gardener to maintain our care home grounds to the highest standards, creating a safe, welcoming outdoor environment for residents.

You'll manage equipment and outdoor structures, clear snow and ice in winter, plant a range of flowers, shrubs and trees, and ensure COSHH-compliant use of garden chemicals, while being a patient, empathetic team player focused on residents’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

• General gardening experience.
• Good understanding of health and safety.
• Ability to use garden treatment chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the care home grounds to the highest standards.
• Look after equipment and outdoor structures (fencing).
• Clear snow and ice in winter and keep outdoor areas safe and tidy.
• Plant a range of flowers, shrubs and trees.
• Be a patient, empathetic team player focused on residents’ wellbeing.
