Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Homes Limited is seeking a dedicated Gardener for one of our care homes. You will maintain the grounds to high standards, care for fencing and external structures, and ensure outdoor areas are safe and welcoming for residents.

You’ll use COSHH-compliant products, promote health and safety, and bring a patient, team‑oriented approach. Daily duties include planting, trimming, winter snow and ice clearance, and showcasing your skills in our annual Barchester in Bloom

Qualifications

• General gardening experience and knowledge of outdoor maintenance.
• Good understanding of health and safety and COSHH regulations.
• Trustworthy, professional, and a positive team player with residents in mind.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds to high standards and look after fencing and external structures.
• Keep outdoor areas safe and welcoming for residents to enjoy.
• Clear snow and ice in winter and provide seasonal garden care.
• Plant flowers, shrubs and trees and assist with garden projects.
