Job summary

HC-One is seeking a Gardener to maintain and present the care home gardens to a high standard. You will perform planting, grass-cutting, pruning, watering and weed removal, while keeping pathways tidy and assisting with fencing maintenance.

You will also operate gardening machinery, attend safety training and work with the estates team across multiple homes. A full driving licence and company vehicle are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in general gardening duties and taking care of gardens and grounds.
• Ability to operate and maintain gardening machinery and tools.
• Willingness to undertake health and safety responsibilities and training.

Responsibilities

• Plant seasonal foliage, cut grass, prune shrubs, water hanging baskets and weed control.
• Tidy pathways and driveways within care home grounds.
• Paint external fencing and garden furniture; maintain fences and surroundings.
• Assist with salt gritting and snow clearance as required.
• Collaborate with estates team and support gardening maintenance.
