Job summary

HC-One is seeking a Gardener to join a gardening team across multiple care homes in the region. You will maintain the homes' gardens to a high standard, plant seasonal foliage, cut grass, prune shrubs, water baskets and manage weed control.

You will also maintain machinery, paint fencing and furniture, and assist with salt gritting and snow clearance. You must be able to drive (company vehicle provided) and engage with residents and staff, following Health and Safety policies and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Experience with general gardening duties and garden maintenance.
• Ability to drive; company vehicle provided.
• Ability to engage with Residents, Home Manager and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Undertake gardening duties and maintain gardens to high standards.
• Plant seasonal foliage, cut grass, prune shrubs, water hanging baskets.
• Weed control, tidy pathways and driveways around care home grounds.
• Maintain gardening machinery and tools; perform tests and checks.
• Paint external fencing and garden furniture; repair as needed.
• Collaborate with estates team and assist with salt gritting and snow clearance.
