Job summary

Hillier Nurseries Limited is seeking a friendly Garden Centre Assistant (Food & Beverage) to join the Restaurant team at Newbury. You will serve food and drinks, prepare hot beverages and help maintain high standards of customer service in a welcoming environment.

This permanent role offers 22.5 hours per week on a rota, including some weekends. The hourly rate goes up to £12.71, with pay aligned to the National Minimum Wage/ National Living Wage requirements.

Qualifications

• Hospitality/catering/customer service experience desirable but not essential.
• Full training provided to all new hires.
• Based in the UK and eligible to work.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving food and drinks.
• Making hot beverages, including coffee.
• Handling customer queries and payments.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety and presentation.
• Clearing and cleaning customer areas.
• Replenishing stock and displays.
• Supporting seasonal promotions and events.
