Job summary

Gordon Moody Association in Redditch is seeking a compassionate Gambling Wellbeing Practitioner to join its clinical team. You will deliver low-intensity, psychologically informed interventions for gambling-related harm under supervision of the Clinical Lead and CBT Therapists.

The role includes supporting assessments, care planning, safeguarding, and partnership working with external services. A Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity CBT and experience in mental health or addiction settings

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity CBT or equivalent qualification in Mental Health, Counselling, Psychology, Social Care, Wellbeing Practice.
• Ongoing professional development relevant to the role.
• Experience supporting individuals with mental health, addiction, or complex emotional well-being needs.
• Experience delivering structured wellbeing or psychologically informed interventions.
• Experience working within health, social care, charity, or community settings.
• Experience in managing and prioritising a caseload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver psychologically informed wellbeing interventions to individuals affected by gambling-related harm.
• Support assessments and formulation of emotional, psychological, and social needs.
• Help service users identify goals and develop recovery-focused care plans.
• Deliver structured short-term interventions within agreed treatment pathways.
• Encourage engagement with treatment, peer support, and recovery activities.
• Support access to appropriate external services and community resources.
