Job summary

Qualifications

• Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity CBT or equivalent in Mental Health or Wellbeing.
• Ongoing professional development relevant to the role.
• Experience with mental health, addiction, or complex emotional needs.
• Experience delivering structured wellbeing interventions.
• Experience in health, social care, charity, or community settings.
• Experience prioritising a caseload and working in teams.
• Knowledge of gambling harm and addiction recovery principles.
• Understanding safeguarding, risk management and boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver psychologically informed wellbeing interventions to individuals affected by gambling-related harm.
• Support assessments and formulation of emotional, psychological, and social needs.
• Help service users identify goals and develop recovery-focused care plans.
• Deliver structured short-term interventions within approved treatment pathways.
• Encourage engagement with treatment, peer support, and recovery activities.
• Support access to external services and community resources.
• Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns and risks.
• Undertake risk assessments and elevate concerns per policy.
• Maintain professional boundaries and safe working practices.
• Build relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals, referrers, and community organisations.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions, and reviews.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in supervision and training.
• Contribute to service improvement, audits and evaluations.
