Job summary

GamCare invites applications for a Gambling Support Practitioner. This home-based role in Yorkshire and Humber includes travel across the region, delivering psychosocial interventions to adults at various recovery stages.

You will assess, formulate, and co-create recovery plans using evidence-based approaches, including CBT-informed and motivational techniques. You will also identify and manage risk, safeguard concerns, and work with partner organisations to provide integrated support.

Qualifications

• Manage a client caseload delivering psychosocial interventions.
• Use CBT-informed and motivational techniques in recovery.
• Identify and manage safeguarding, mental health, and financial risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage your caseload and deliver person-centred psychosocial interventions.
• Carry out assessments, formulations and co-produce recovery plans.
• Deliver brief, structured and relapse-prevention interventions via in-person, digital and telephone sessions.
• Identify and manage safeguarding and risk, escalating when needed.
