Marlin Selection is recruiting an experienced FX sales professional to lead Northern European client coverage for an established global financial services firm. The role requires 10+ years’ experience and a strong network across large corporates and asset managers in Northern Europe.

You will originate and grow the firm’s Northern European FX franchise, combining new business origination with expanding existing relationships.

Marlin Selection is recruiting an experienced FX Sales professional on behalf of an established global financial services firm. This opportunity is suited to someone with 10+ years’ experience and a strong network of large corporate and asset management clients across Northern Europe.

The successful candidate will develop the firm’s Northern European FX franchise, combining new business origination with the growth of existing client relationships. You will work closely with trading, structuring and internal stakeholders to deliver FX execution and hedging solutions tailored to clients’ investment, treasury and risk management needs.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and develop relationships with large corporates and asset managers across Northern Europe.
• Generate sustainable revenue through FX execution, hedging and risk management solutions.
• Identify client requirements across spot, forwards, swaps and, where appropriate, FX options.
• Build a pipeline of opportunities, converting introductions into active, long‑term client relationships.
• Work closely with trading and structuring teams on pricing, liquidity and tailored client solutions.
• Maintain regular dialogue with corporate treasury teams, portfolio managers and senior investment professionals.
• Provide relevant market insight and identify opportunities arising from currency exposures and changing market conditions.
• Coordinate with onboarding, credit, legal, compliance and operations teams to support efficient client delivery.
• Travel across the region to strengthen relationships and develop new business.

Candidate requirements

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in FX sales within a bank, broker or financial services institution.
• An established client base of large corporates and asset managers across Northern Europe.
• A demonstrable record of winning business, growing client relationships and generating revenue.
• Strong knowledge of FX markets, execution and hedging products, with an understanding of both corporate and institutional requirements.
• Credibility with senior treasury and investment decision‑makers.
• A commercial, entrepreneurial approach and the ability to take ownership of regional business development.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Fluency in English; relevant Northern European language skills would be advantageous.

The opportunity

This role offers the scope to develop a significant regional franchise within a global financial services platform. The position can be based in London, Dubai or Paris, with regular travel to clients across Northern Europe.
