The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic NHS Foundation Trust in Oswestry invites applications for an Apprentice Operating Department Practitioner. This three-year training combines work-based learning with academic study to achieve a BSc (Hons) in Operating Department Practice in collaboration with Edgehill University.

You will work within perioperative care across anaesthesia, surgery and post-anaesthesia care, progressing under mentorship and completing an End Point Assessment to qualify

Qualifications

• Basic IT skills required.
• Excellent communication skills (oral & written).
• Good organisational and time-management abilities.
• Insight into peri-operative care roles and responsibilities.
• Demonstrates Trust values and professional conduct.

Responsabilités

• Meet the following qualifications/experience requirements during training.
• Complete educational elements with RJAH, Staffordshire University and Institute of Apprenticeship standards.
• Produce an apprentice portfolio demonstrating knowledge, skills and behaviour toward End Point Assessment.
• Work as part of a designated operating department team delivering care under supervision.
