Job summary

Halfords Autocentres in Plymouth is offering an apprentice vacancy for an Auto Vehicle Technician. You will learn diagnostic methods, servicing and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, developing practical and theoretical skills in a supportive environment.

Expect to work with mentors, attend college, and progress through a structured programme that emphasizes safety, teamwork and customer service across Autocentre operations.

Qualifications

• GCSEs Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalents).
• Friendly, team-oriented person with a desire to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician.
• Interest in cars, problem solving and willingness to do manual work.

Responsibilities

• Gaining knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair vehicles to the highest standard.
• Learning workplace safety, engineering skills and vehicle inspection and servicing.
• Work on engines, chassis and electrical systems as part of the apprenticeship.
