Job summary

Halfords Autocentres is offering an apprentice programme to train as an Auto Vehicle Technician in Oxford. You will work on servicing, inspections and diagnostics across a wide range of vehicles, under supervision, while attending college on a day-release basis.

The role is full-time with early starts, one day at college and the rest in the Autocentre workshop, developing practical skills and knowledge in a busy retail automotive environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above (or equivalents).
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Interest in cars and solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair vehicles with guidance from technicians.
• Assist with servicing and inspections across various models.
• Use diagnostic equipment and tools as part of daily tasks.
• Develop knowledge of engines, chassis and electrical systems.
• Work as part of a Halfords Autocentre team with customers in mind.
