Job summary

Halfords Autocentres in Eastbourne is offering an Autocentre Apprentice position. You will gain hands-on training across servicing, inspections, diagnosis and repairs on a wide range of makes and models within our busy workshop.

You will learn workplace safety, engine, electrical systems and diagnostic techniques, under the guidance of qualified mentors. GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C+ are required, with a strong interest in cars and problem solving.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents).
• Friendly, helpful, team-oriented with a strong desire to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician.
• Interest in cars and solving problems; able to use hands and have a fit attitude for manual work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing, inspections and repairs across various vehicle models.
• Learn diagnostic methods and equipment for engine, chassis and electrical systems.
• Work independently and as part of a team within the Autocentre to deliver high standards.

Skills

Interest in cars and solving problems

Friendly, helpful, team‑oriented

Hands-on maintenance aptitude

Knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance

Microsoft Office familiarity

Education

GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C+ or equivalent)
