Job summary

Tokamak Energy Ltd in Oxfordshire is seeking a practical, hands-on engineer for the Vacuum Conditioning & Fuelling team. You will design electrical and instrumentation solutions, produce wiring diagrams and technical documentation, and help install and commission systems for advanced fusion research.

You will troubleshoot faults, support testing, and work closely with mechanical, vacuum and operations teams to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Experience designing or supporting electrical, instrumentation or control systems.
• Ability to read and produce electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability.
• Experience commissioning, testing or maintaining technical equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical safety principles.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple disciplines.
• Desirable knowledge of high-voltage systems, PLCs and data acquisition.
