Job summary
Tokamak Energy Ltd. is seeking a practical, hands-on engineer to support the operation, maintenance and development of our Ultra-High Vacuum and Ultra-High Purity gas systems. You will work in a laboratory environment on vacuum system assembly, testing, leak detection and instrumentation.
The role demands strong fault-finding, attention to detail and good teamwork. Desirable experience includes UHV/UHP, helium leak detection, cryogenics, and reading engineering drawings; an HND/degree in
Qualifications
- Practical engineering experience in a technical environment.
- Experience with vacuum and gas systems or similar equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and ability to analyse technical data.
- Excellent attention to detail and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Support operation, maintenance and development of UHV and UHP gas systems.
- Assemble, test, leak-detect and service vacuum systems.
- Prepare procedures, reports and engineering documentation.
- Calibrate vacuum instrumentation and assist within Tokamak Energy's fusion programme.
- Work safely within laboratory and engineering environments.
