Job summary

Tokamak Energy Ltd in Oxfordshire is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to bring structure to complex projects at the intersection of magnet technology, cryogenics and power systems.

You will define requirements, manage interfaces and develop system architectures with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring clear decisions from day one. The role offers hybrid working with regular onsite collaboration and opportunities to work on world-leading fusion energy technologies.

Qualifications

• A degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Physics or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience applying systems engineering methodologies within complex environments.
• Track record of requirements management, architecture development and verification.
• Experience working on technically complex products, systems or programmes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities across major programmes.
• Capture, manage and maintain system requirements with full traceability.
• Develop system architectures, functional breakdowns and interface definitions.
• Coordinate information across multidisciplinary teams (magnet design, cryogenics, electricals, instrumentation).
• Support informed engineering decisions with programme and technical leads.
• Support technical reviews and readiness reviews.
• Identify, manage and track technical risks.
• Develop verification and validation strategies for complex systems.
• Define and maintain critical interfaces between teams, suppliers and partners.
