Co-op Group is hiring a funeralcare team member in Tweedmouth to assist with preparation, transport and care of the deceased. This on-call, part-time role requires a full UK manual driving licence and the ability to handle physical tasks with care and professionalism.

No prior funeral experience is required as full training and ongoing support are provided, along with a competitive salary and company benefits. You will join a purpose-driven, community-focused Co-op team.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist with physical aspects of the role, including lifting.
• Comfort using a range of technology devices and systems.

Responsabilités

• Collect the deceased from various locations in a professional, empathetic manner.
• Bear coffins and drive funeral vehicles on the day of the funeral.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles.
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
• Prepare the deceased for viewings and the funeral.
• Maintain client records with timely information in systems.
• Lift and move coffins safely using proper techniques and equipment.
