Job summary

East of England Co-op Funeral Services is seeking a Funeral Co-ordinator to be the main point of contact for clients, families and local communities across the East of England. You’ll join a dedicated team providing compassionate support throughout viewings and ceremonies, ensuring dignified and respectful service.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good knowledge of the local area.
• A full UK manual driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive and/or bear on funeral services, supporting clients and families throughout.
• Bring the deceased into our care from different locations/various circumstances.
• Prepare the deceased for viewings and the funeral ceremony.
• Oversee chapel visits and ceremonial arrangements.
• Maintain high standards of facilities and ceremonial vehicles.
• Assist with tasks such as coffins, floral tributes, order of service, etc.
• May participate in an on-call rota as discussed in interviews.
