Qualifications

• Good communication skills for clients and colleagues in writing and verbally.
• Ability to handle numbers and simple calculations for cash handling and invoicing.
• A keen eye for detail and adherence to policies and processes.
• IT skills to operate a range of devices and systems and learn new apps.
• Passion for delivering great service and building relationships.
• High levels of empathy, discretion and care.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks such as moving coffins with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming, reporting maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work about funeral plans to Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist with manual handling of coffins and care of the deceased as needed.
• Update client management applications and keep records accurate and timely.
