Job summary

Friends of ANCHOR is seeking a Fundraising Officer to join our Aberdeen team. You will support individual fundraisers, coordinate events and manage donor relationships to drive income for patients and families in the North-east of Scotland.

With 3–4 years’ experience in relevant roles, you’ll be the first point of contact for supporters, delivering materials, social media promotion, and ongoing engagement while maintaining accurate records in a busy office environment.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years’ experience in customer service, fundraising, events, administration or stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and written/verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word; social media confidence.
  • Full UK driving licence with access to a charity pool car when required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive, supporter-focused coordination across individual giving.
  • Deliver end-to-end support for individual fundraisers including onboarding and engagement.
  • Ensure timely acknowledgement of fundraising efforts to support retention.
  • Support fundraising campaigns, including the 30th anniversary year in 2027.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of events and campaigns, manage sign-ups and on-the-day operations.
  • Data entry, cleansing and reporting to support fundraising performance.
  • Maintain CRM data, GDPR compliance, and SharePoint records; assist donations processing.
