Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a part-time Functional Skills Tutor in Nottingham to deliver targeted 1:1 and small group tuition within an EOTAS setting. Immediate start, flexible delivery, and a focus on engaging learners who may struggle in traditional classrooms.

The role requires a teaching/education qualification and experience with Functional Skills or alternative education, including supporting pupils with diverse needs. PAYE pay and market-leading rates are offered.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant teaching, tutoring or education qualification.
• Experience delivering Functional Skills or alternative education is preferred.
• Experience providing 1:1 and small group tuition is essential.
• Experience supporting EOTAS pupils or young people with additional/behavioural needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Functional Skills sessions.
• Adapt learning to individual needs and abilities.
• Support EOTAS pupils to develop knowledge, confidence and engagement with education.
