Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a part-time Functional Skills Tutor to join our Nottingham-based alternative education provision, supporting pupils outside mainstream school. You will deliver targeted Functional Skills sessions and adapt your teaching to individual needs in 1:1 and small-group settings.

Immediate start available. The role focuses on engaging learners with varying educational and behavioural needs, helping them build knowledge, confidence and progress in education.

Qualifications

A relevant teaching, tutoring or education qualification.
Experience delivering Functional Skills or alternative education.
Experience providing 1:1 and small group tuition.
Experience supporting EOTAS pupils or young people with additional and behavioural needs.
Ability to plan and adapt sessions to individual learning needs.
Patient, resilient and engaging approach to teaching.

Responsibilities
