Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Functional Skills Tutor to join a specialist provision in Crewe. You will deliver Functional Skills education to learners who may require education outside of traditional classrooms, tailored to individual needs and focused on re-engaging learners with learning.

The role is long-term with ASAP start, supporting learners with SEND, Autism/ASD and behavioural needs. You will adapt sessions, manage behaviour, and communicate effectively with learners and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills
• Experience supporting young people with SEND
• Experience working with Autism / ASD and behavioural needs
• Confidence delivering education outside of traditional classroom environments
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills education to learners, adapting sessions to meet individual learning needs
• Provide consistent support to learners who may require flexible education approaches
• Work with a specialist provision to re-engage learners with education
