• Complete and maintain accurate records of learner attendance, progress, and achievement.
• Provide face-to-face and remote support to learners.

Education

Relevant teaching qualification e.g., CTLLs, Cert Ed, PGCE or DTLLs

Job description

Overview

As a Functional Skills Tutor, you’ll deliver intensive courses in English and Maths at L1/L2 which form a key component of Apprenticeship standards. You will be delivering to mixed groups of soldiers at your base location Bulford, online, and at other military sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assess Functional Skills English and Maths within intensive courses.
• Complete and maintain accurate records of learner attendance, progress, and achievement.
• Provide face-to-face and remote support to learners.

Qualifications and experience

• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Teams.
• Relevant teaching qualification e.g., CTLLs, Cert Ed, PGCE or DTLLs (or equivalent).
• A minimum level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics.
