Job summary

Oakmoor Recruitment are recruiting a Functional Skills Maths Tutor in Stoke-on-Trent to deliver engaging Maths tuition from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2 and help learners achieve recognised qualifications.

The successful candidate will have experience teaching Functional Skills Maths, a teaching qualification (ideally L5 or above) and a Maths Level 3, with strong planning, assessment and learner-management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths up to Level 2.
• Strong lesson-planning and learner assessment abilities.
• Ability to support learners with barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths from Entry Level 1 to Level 2.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for diverse abilities.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain records.
• Support learners towards progression to further education or training.
• Create an inclusive learning environment.
