Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Functional Skills Maths Tutor to join their centre-based team. You will deliver Maths up to Level 2, use existing resources and create your own, and provide high-quality information, advice and guidance to learners.

The role is full-time and permanent with a salary from £30,000, and requires a Level 3 Maths qualification; willing to work towards Level 5 Teaching qualification; strong communication and ability to motivate learners.

Qualifications

• Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths.
• Must hold own Level 3 qualification in Maths.
• Must have experience delivering training to small groups of learners.
• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 5 Teaching qualification.
• Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths, within a classroom environment (up to Level 2).
• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
