Oakmoor Recruitment invites applications for a Functional Skills English Tutor based in Stoke-on-Trent. This full-time permanent role involves delivering lessons from Entry Level 1 to Level 2, planning engaging sessions, and supporting learners to overcome barriers and progress toward further education or training.

The successful candidate will have teaching qualifications (ideally L5 or above) and a Level 3 English qualification, with strong classroom management, assessment and learner-support

• Strong lesson planning, assessment and learner-management skills.

• Motivate learners who may have experienced barriers or disengagement from traditional education.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records.

Hours: Monday to Friday

The Opportunity

Salary: Starting from at least £30,000 per annum with an enhanced salary available for candidates with the right qualifications, experience and proven track record.

Are you passionate about helping learners achieve their potential? We are looking for an experienced English Tutor to deliver engaging Functional Skills English programmes, supporting learners to build confidence and achieve recognised qualifications.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping learners overcome barriers and achieve their potential. You will deliver engaging English tuition while providing the encouragement, structure and individual support young people need to progress towards further education, training, employment and greater independence.

The successful candidate will be a confident and adaptable practitioner who can build positive relationships with learners, respond calmly to challenging situations and create an inclusive environment in which every young person feels able to participate and succeed.

About You
