Job summary

Everpool Recruitment seeks a Nurse Assessor to join the Southampton team. The role involves conducting structured assessments (telephone, video or in person) for benefit decisions, evaluating physical and mental health conditions, and producing clear clinical reports.

Training is provided, with a 9-to-5 pattern and opportunities for both full-time and part-time employment. Candidates should be UK-registered (NMC/HCPC/GPhC) with at least 12 months post-registration and strong report-writing

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months post-registration experience
• At least 1 year recent UK clinical experience
• Active NMC / HCPC / GPhC registration
• Strong assessment and report-writing skills
• Confident IT and typing ability
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face
• Evaluate physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions
• Review medical evidence and functional impact
• Produce clear, evidence-based clinical reports to support benefit decisions
• Engage in a fully paid training programme (6–12 weeks) with mentoring

Location: Southampton
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday–Friday | 9am–5pm | No Shifts
Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 + Bonuses (pro rata for part-time)
(Up to £4,000 salary increase in the first year based on performance)

The Role

As a Functional Assessor, you will:

• Conduct structured assessments via telephone, video, or face-to-face

A non-treatment, adult-focused role centred on clinical reasoning, analytical thinking, and report writing.

Fully Paid Training

• 6–12 weeks depending on experience
