Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a Disability Assessor in Reading with hybrid home-working opportunities. The role offers 50% remote and 50% site-based work, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with a focus on PIP assessments.

You will review medical evidence, perform structured assessments by telephone, video or face‑to‑face, and produce evidence‑based reports to support the DWP. A minimum of 12 months post-registration and active professional registration are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months' post-registration experience
• Minimum of 12 months' UK-based adult clinical experience
• Experience working within adult clinical settings such as acute, community, rehabilitation, primary care, secondary care or mental health services
• Strong clinical assessment, history-taking and clinical reasoning skills
• Experience producing clear, evidence-based clinical documentation
• Confident IT skills and ability to work across digital systems

PIP Functional Assessor

As a PIP Functional Assessor, you'll carry out assessments to understand how a person's physical or mental health condition affects their ability to complete everyday activities. Using your clinical knowledge, you'll gather information, review medical evidence and produce accurate, evidence‑based reports to support the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). This is an assessment-focused role.

No treatment. No prescribing. No manual handling.

Essential Criteria To be considered for this position, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

Professional Registration

• Active UK NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration with no restrictions.
