Everpool Recruitment is recruiting Functional Assessors for hybrid roles across England. This role utilizes your clinical knowledge to assess how health conditions affect daily life and work, with the security of a Monday-to-Friday schedule and hybrid working.

We welcome experienced healthcare professionals from nursing, OT, physio, paramedics and pharmacy. Training is provided and opportunities for progression are available. Roles offer a clear career path with excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent post-registration experience in a relevant adult setting.
• At least 1 year of active NMC or HCPC registration.
• Strong communication and assessment skills.
• Excellent report-writing and typing skills.
• Good IT skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video and face-to-face assessments.
• Explore how health conditions affect everyday activities and work.
• Review medical evidence and health questionnaires.
• Ask detailed questions about functional ability.
• Produce clear, accurate and objective reports for the DWP.
• Make recommendations based on your assessment findings.

You'll use your existing clinical knowledge and assessment skills in a new way, helping to assess how health conditions affect people's everyday lives and ability to work.

What we're looking for

We are currently recruiting:

• Registered Adult Nurses
• Mental Health Nurses
• Learning Disability Nurses
• Occupational Therapists
• Physiotherapists
• Paramedics
• Pharmacists

You’ll need:

• At least 1 year of recent post-registration experience in a relevant adult setting
• At least 1 year of active NMC or HCPC registration
• Strong communication and assessment skills
• Excellent report-writing and typing skills
• Good IT skills
• The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
• Sponsorship is not available for these roles.

Salary

PIP Functional Assessor

£40,000-£42,000 + excellent bonus scheme

Typically 3 assessments per day

WCA Functional Assessor

£42,000-£43,000 + excellent bonus scheme

Typically 5-6 shorter assessments per day

Roles are subject to availability and service requirements in each geographical area.

Ideally, candidates should be open to either PIP or WCA. Where possible, we may be able to accommodate a preference, although this cannot be guaranteed.
