SJB Medical is recruiting a Functional Assessor to use clinical expertise in conducting functional assessments for health-related benefit applications. The role offers regular hours, no night shifts, and a supportive multidisciplinary team in a UK centre.

You will assess diverse physical and mental health conditions, write clear reports, and develop within a structured training and career-path framework. A rewarding clinical role awaits with ongoing CPD.

Qualifications

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist).
• Have at least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
• Have no current restrictions to practice.
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.

Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift within your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract)

One-off approval bonus of 5% of salary

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

About the role

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health-related benefits. This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work.

You'll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessments. Based at one of our UK centres, you'll benefit from a structured working environment, comprehensive training, and clear career development pathways.
