Job summary

SJB Medical is recruiting a Functional Assessor to apply clinical judgment in confident, evidence-based assessments. You will operate within a multidisciplinary team at a UK centre, delivering high-quality reports during regular hours with structured training and clear career progression.

The role emphasizes patient empathy, accuracy, and professional conduct, offering comprehensive development and a balanced work pattern with no night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist).
• At least 12 months post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
• No current restrictions to practice.
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.

About the role

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health‑related benefits. This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work.
