Job summary

SJB Medical is hiring a Functional Assessor to join our healthcare team at a UK centre. You will conduct functional assessments, produce high-quality reports, and apply clinical judgement across physical and mental health conditions.

This role offers regular hours (9–5, Monday–Friday), no night shifts, no weekend work, and a strong training pathway. We value collaborative work in a multidisciplinary team, robust governance, and ongoing CPD with salary of £40,000–£50,000 plus uplifts and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist).
• Have at least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
• Have no current restrictions to practice.
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Location: Weston Super Mare

Additional pay & bonuses:

• Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift within your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract)
• One-off approval bonus of 5% of salary
• Up to 10% annual performance bonus based on quality and performance

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

About the role

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health-related benefits. This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work.
