Job summary

SJB Medical is seeking a Functional Assessor located in Yeovil, England. The position offers a competitive salary between £40,000 and £50,000 with additional bonuses. As a Functional Assessor, you will conduct assessments that support individuals applying for health-related benefits, all while enjoying regular hours without night shifts or weekends.

The ideal candidate should be a registered healthcare professional with at least 12 months' experience, and will benefit from a structured working environment and comprehensive training.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist).
• At least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
• No current restrictions to practice.
• Demonstrated strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.

• Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift within your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract)
• One‑off approval bonus of 5% of salary

Working pattern:
Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Part‑time hours available

About the role

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health‑related benefits. This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work.

You'll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based assessments. Based at one of our UK centres, you'll benefit from a structured working environment, comprehensive training, and clear career development pathways.
