SJB Medical in Bristol is seeking a Functional Assessor to join its healthcare team. You will carry out functional assessments, produce concise, high-quality reports, and support individuals applying for health-related benefits, with regular hours and no night shifts.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team at a UK centre, benefiting from structured training, clear career development, and a supportive environment, with a salary of £40,000–£50,000 and additional bonuses.

Qualifications

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist).
• Have at least 12 months' post‑registration experience within the last 5 years.
• Have no current restrictions to practice.
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report‑writing skills.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Location: Bristol

Additional pay & bonuses:

• Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift within your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract)
• One‑off approval bonus of 5% of salary
• Up to 10% annual performance bonus based on quality and performance

Working pattern:
Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Part‑time hours available

About the role

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health‑related benefits. This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work.
