Job summary

Maven Group Ltd is looking for a WCA Functional Assessor in the UK. You will perform five client assessments daily via telephone, video, or in person, gathering information to produce reports for DWP decisions.

Full training is provided, with a starting salary of £42,000 and a rise to £43,000 after 12 months. Hybrid working, on-site in Aylesbury, and pension options are included.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse (RGN/RMN) or HCPC-registered Physiotherapist/OT with ≥1 year post-registration experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proactive, keen to learn and IT literate

Job description

What does the WCA Functional Assessor role involve?

The WCA Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their ability to perform work-related ativity. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.

What we look for;

• An NMC registered nurse (RGN or RMN) OR a HCPC qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) with 1 year’s or more broad post-registration experience
• Someone who’s proactive and keen to learn
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Competent IT and computer skills
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health

No experience as a WCA Functional Assessor is needed as full training will be provided which you will be paid your full-time salary for. All we expect is that you will have 1 years post graduate experience as an RGN, RMN, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and hold an NMC or HCPC registration.
