MBDA UK Limited in Stevenage offers a Mechanical Engineering Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship starting September 2027. You will study a BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering at University of Hertfordshire, while rotating through engineering streams and applying learning in real projects.

The program includes a fully funded qualification, travel expenses, annual pay reviews and a structured development path with security checks. The role closes 20th November 2026.

Qualifications

• GCSEs: at least 5 GCSEs grade 4 or above, including English Language, Mathematics and a Science or Technology subject.
• Post-GCSE routes: three A levels (Maths plus a Tech/Engineering subject) with grades no lower than B, or a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering with a DDM overall.
• The learning provider is University of Hertfordshire; the apprenticeship maps to the Product design and development engineer standard.
• British Citizenship or dual UK nationality for BPSS checks; site security applies.

Responsibilities

• Rotational programme across Mechanical Design, Future Concepts, Actuation, Analysis, Materials and Environmental Engineering.
• Spend one day per week onsite at university with MBDA, with real life placements alongside engineers.
• Support live missile trials and testing environments; learn instrumentation, data acquisition and test equipment.
