Job summary
MBDA UK in Stevenage is offering a Mechanical Engineering Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship. You will complete an Engineering Manufacturing Technician Level 4 and study for an HNC in Engineering, with on-site MBDA work and Cambridge Regional College study one day per week across four years, aiming for professional accreditation (IMechE, IET or RAeS).
The role offers £21,000 salary plus a £3,000 joining bonus, fully funded qualification starting September 2027, travel support, and generous leave
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths at minimum Grade 5 and GCSE English Language at minimum Grade 4, plus two more GCSEs including a Science or Technology subject.
- Post-GCSE routes allowed: 3 A levels (Maths plus two others, with no grade below C), BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma with relevant maths, or a T level in Engineering.
- Entry criteria are assessed on top three qualifications; UCAS points like EPQ are not counted.
- BPSS security checks apply after offer.
Responsibilities
- Study onsite at Cambridge Regional College once weekly while working at MBDA four days per week.
- Gain experience in Mechanical Design, Analysis, and related engineering tasks within MBDA's ME function.
- Progress through a four-year scheme toward graduation and professional accreditation.
