Budock Vean Hotel in Cornwall seeks hospitality staff to deliver warm welcomes and exceptional service across guest experiences, spa and dining. The role focuses on guest care, upselling, and maintaining high standards in all operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive a warm welcome and high-level hospitality during their stay.
• Minimise and handle guest complaints professionally per company policies.
• Collaborate with F&B Manager to maximise sales and meet targets.
• Control stock and staff costs when managers are absent.
• Serve food and drinks quickly and to five-star standards.
• Stay updated on promotions and new products.
• Highlight offers on food and drink range.
• Assist with function and events setups per procedures.
• Maintain billing systems and collect payments accurately for reception sales.
• Follow cleaning schedules and health & safety, food & hygiene rules.
• Ensure high standards of financial reporting per policy.
• Foster good inter-departmental collaboration and clear communication.
• Know responsibilities for fire procedures, health and safety, COSHH, infection control and first aid.
• Other duties as required

This role has a starting rate of £12.75 per hour... On successful completion of probation period you will receive an increase to £13.25 per hour and £50 in hotel vouchers.

Role & Responsibilities:

To ensure all of our guests receive a warm welcome and are treated to the up most hospitality and care during their stay with us – we aim to provide an unforgettable experience

• To ensure all complaints are minimised and handles professionally as in accordance with our policies
• To work in line with company policies and manuals
• Work with the Food and Beverage Manager & Supervisor to maximise sales performance and achieve sales in line with targets
• Ensure effective control of stock and staff costs in the Restaurant Managers& Supervisor absence.
• To follow all hotel policies as outlined in your training manual:
• Serve food and drinks, quickly and efficiently, meeting our five star standards.
• Keep up to date with current promotions and new products
• Make guests aware of offers on our great food and drink range
• To assist in any function or events set ups in accordance with procedures
• To maintain exemplary billing systems and obtain all payments from customers in accordance with company Policy, and the accurate accounting and processing of all reception sales.
• To observe and comply with cleaning rotas, health and safety, food and hygiene regulations
• Ensure high standards of financial and reporting diligence in accordance with company policy
• To ensure good working relationship with all other departments and communicate information throughout the hotel.
• To understand responsibilities in relation to Fire Procedures, Health and Safety, COSHH, Infection Control and Emergency Aid.
