Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant across West Sussex and Surrey. A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role, which covers term-time, Monday to Friday hours.

The role involves supporting classrooms, leading literacy and numeracy sessions, and providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN. CPD training is offered, with weekly PAYE pay.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and confident foundational English and Maths.
• Driving licence and access to vehicle required to travel across West Sussex and Surrey.
• Availability for full-time, Monday to Friday term-time work.
• Enhanced DBS and Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Work full-time hours (Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) alongside teachers.
• Lead small group intervention sessions in core literacy, phonics, and numeracy.
• Provide 1:1 learning and behavioural support for pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH).
• Foster an inclusive, safe classroom environment and assist with displays.
• Assist with classroom setup and break-time supervision.
