Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Full-Time Teaching Assistant to support schools across West Sussex and Surrey. A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential to cover rural and suburban locations.

The role runs Monday to Friday during standard school hours, with ongoing term-time placement and opportunities for professional development. The successful candidate will assist with literacy, phonics, numeracy, and behaviour support, including 1:1 interventions for pupils

Qualifications

• Driving licence with access to a reliable vehicle (Essential).
• Full-time availability (Mon-Fri, standard school hours).
• Experience supporting children or young people in schools, nurseries, sports coaching, care, or youth work.

Responsibilities

• Working full-time hours (Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) alongside classroom teachers.
• Leading small group intervention sessions in core literacy, phonics, and numeracy.
• Providing 1:1 learning and behavioural support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH).
• Fostering an inclusive, encouraging, and safe classroom environment.
• Assisting with classroom setup, learning displays, and break-time supervision.
