Job summary

Greensleeves Care is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to provide high-quality care in our 24-hour residential settings across England. You will support residents with personal care, respond to call bells, and coordinate with health professionals to meet healthcare needs.

The role includes shift patterns of 12 or 10 hours, with a focus on maintaining dignity and a safe, supportive home environment. UK-based candidates only. Training and DBS are provided.

Qualifications

• QCF Diploma in social care level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Proven ability and experience in safe medication administration.
• Confidentiality is essential.
• Experience in providing care is required.

Responsibilities

• Help ensure care, domestic and kitchen staff contribute to efficient running of the Home and a positive atmosphere.
• Assist residents with personal care needs.
• Answer call bells, emergency bells, doors and telephone; greet visitors.
• Liaise with GPs, District Nurses and others to meet residents' healthcare needs.

This can be either a 12 hour or 10-hour post for 4 nights. 12-hour shifts are18:45 to 07:00, or 10 hour is 20:45 to 7am.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:

• Help to ensure that all care, domestic and kitchen staff contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home and the creation of the right atmosphere.
• Assist residents with their personal care needs.
• Answer call bells, emergency bells, the door and the telephone: greet visitors.
• Ensure the healthcare needs of the residents are met by liaising with GPs, District Nurses, Chiropodists, etc.

• Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) diploma in social care level 2 or other relevant qualification
• Proven ability and experience in safe administration of Medication
• An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
• Experience in providing care
