Job summary

Landau Forte Academy Moorhead is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our site team. The role is full time with 6:00am-10:00am and 14:00-18:00 during term time, and 07:00-15:00 in school holidays. You will support both primary and secondary phases across Trust sites as projects arise.

Starting ASAP, the post offers 37.5 hours per week with a permanent contract. A competitive salary and LGPS or TPS benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Experience with general site maintenance and basic DIY tasks.
• Able to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks.
• Reliable, honest and able to work on own initiative.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Flexibility to cover shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• General site maintenance and basic DIY tasks as needed.
• Portering: receiving and distributing deliveries.
• Cleaning and tidying internal and external areas daily.
• Grounds maintenance such as grass cutting and hedge trimming.
• Set up for student activities and events.
• Open/close building and supervise contractors when required.
• Support fire and lockdown procedures with staff.
• Be available and contactable during the day for requests.
