Job summary

William Hulme's Grammar School in Manchester is seeking a proactive Caretaker to join the Premises and Site Team on a full‑time permanent basis. You will be responsible for opening and securing buildings, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, handling security matters, distributing deliveries, and supporting maintenance tasks to keep the site well‑presented for assemblies, events and exams.

You will work closely with colleagues, contractors and hirers to ensure facilities are prepared, welcoming

Responsibilities

• Open and secure buildings as part of daily routines.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems and respond to security matters.
• Distribute deliveries and assist with maintenance tasks.
• Prepare facilities for assemblies, meetings, events and examinations.
• Liaise with contractors, visitors, hirers and external users of the facilities.
• Support our lettings programme, ensuring facilities are ready for use and safe for the next day.
