Job summary

North Star is seeking a Reading Intervention HLTA in Bristol to provide targeted literacy support to pupils, delivering 1-1 and small-group sessions and fostering engagement with reading. You will use assessment to identify gaps and tailor instruction to early readers, including phonics support, while promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering reading intervention.
• Flexible, able to manage challenging behaviour.
• Confident with individuals or groups of children.
• Able to use assessment to identify gaps and push progress.
• Able to support early reading and phonics.
• Willing to undertake further training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver reading intervention 1-1 or in small groups.
• Identify gaps using assessments and tailor instruction.
